Typical Landry's with great service, food and atmosphere. I had a dinner salad with a side of grilled shrimp that was perfect for me that night. My husband had stuffed flounder and liked it, the waitress was a doll, respectful, mature, and perfectly attentive. Myself and a coworker stopped in for a late lunch the other day. The restaurant was very well kept. We ordered the fondue and crawfish bread as a starter and both were fantastic.
Stars are no longer displayed after increasing the Trainer Card level, but the color of the card will still change when the player has completed certain achievements. Utilizing the dual screens of the Nintendo DS, the earned Badges are now displayed separately from the Trainer Card. In Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, a Badge case was added where Trainers could polish their Badges using the stylus and by touching the Badges they would play a musical note in a C major scale. As the Badges gradually grow dull over time due to the lack of shine, the pitch will change depending on the 'cleanliness' of the Badge. In the Japanese and Korean games of this generation, the names of all Johto Gym Leaders are also written above their faces (each Japanese name consisting of exactly three katakana characters). In the international versions of these games, the Gym Leader names are not written on the Trainer Card, possibly owing to the longer English names.
Creating a Custom Card
With just five Energy, this deck has space for lots of disruptive cards. Perhaps the most devastating card is Crushing Hammer, which has a 50% chance of discarding an Energy from one of your opponent’s Pokémon. When you combine that with Enhanced Hammer, Plumeria, Team Skull Grunt, and Counter Catcher, your opponent will have a very hard time using any attacks at all. Disrupting and denying your opponent’s plans is an effective strategy, and this deck excels at it. At first glance, 11 Energy cards may not seem like enough, especially compared with the 20 seen in most theme decks.
15 Most Valuable Full Art Pokemon Trainer Cards - TheGamer
Without them, you won’t be able to find the cards you need at the right times, and you won’t be able to execute your strategy as often as you’d like. As tempting as it is to put tons of different Pokémon in your deck, you need to make room for a lot of Trainer cards. In addition to those specialized cards, Cynthia, Guzma, and Lillie are all staple Supporter cards that you’ll see included in most competitive decks.
What is Pokemon Trainer Card Maker & How to Use It
For example, the popular combination of Choice Band and Electropower adds extra damage when you need it. Guzma, Switch, Zeraora-GX, and Escape Rope can all help you get the right Pokémon into battle—making sure your best attacker is in position or pulling a vulnerable Pokémon up off your opponent’s Bench. And Thunder Mountain Prism Star, Tapu Koko Prism Star, and Energy Switch can make sure you have enough Energy to attack every turn. Trainer cards have all sorts of powerful effects, and the right mix can lead you to victory. Choose your favorite style and have fun preparing your own Trainer Card in your own perfect way.
One of the qualities of a great deck is being able to find the cards you need at the right time. In the list above, the Supporter cards Lillie and Cynthia are crucial for drawing plenty of cards. In addition, Ultra Ball and Nest Ball are essential for finding the Pokémon you need. You’ll find cards like these in nearly every competitive deck, no matter what kind of strategy it’s using. If you want to use a deck with evolved Pokémon, remember you’ll have to include their previous Evolutions as well.
Trainer Card Maker
On the other hand, a deck that uses only Basic Pokémon may have only 10–14 Pokémon, meaning you can play even more Trainers and Energy. Patrick has been working for Prima since 2022 and joined as a Staff Writer in 2023. He's been interested in gaming journalism since college, and that was the path he took once he had his degree in hands. Diligently ignores his ever-growing backlog to keep raiding in Final Fantasy XIV, exploring in Genshin Impact or replaying some of his favorite RPGs from time to time.
Card Type
All of the strategies shown above have had success in big events, and you might even see them in the upcoming International and World Championships. Here’s an example of a popular Pikachu & Zekrom-GX deck that features only Basic Pokémon. A Pokemon Trainer Card Maker does exactly what I have just described above.
How to Make Your Own Custom Pokémon Card
In Generation VII, these stamps take the place of Badges, Trainer star achievements and the diploma in the Alola region. A Trainer's score offers no specific purpose in the game and appears to be only aesthetic. The score begins at zero and increases every time a score-altering event occurs. In Generation I, the Trainer ID number is not shown here, unlike later games. And make sure to check back to Pokemon.com/Strategy for more Pokémon TCG and video game tips.

We run several shops in the field of trading cards and now want to give our community back some love. This card's effect is nearly identical to that of Focus Sash, released in the Furious Fists expansion; except this card can work on all Pokémon types, while Focus Sash only works on Fighting-type Pokémon. Unfortunately, Pokemon Trainer Creator V2 is notavailable onyour device.
Riotous Beating only requires one Double Colorless Energy, and Zoroark-GX gives up 2 Prize cards when it’s Knocked Out, so your opponent only needs to defeat it three times to win. The choice of Pokémon to play in this deck is simplified by the two-Pokémon strategy. It’s important to use as many Poipole and Naganadel as possible to ensure you can keep churning out Fire Energy, and you’ll want plenty of Blacephalon-GX for attacking.
Including a lot of different Pokémon means you won’t have room for the Trainer and Energy cards you need. After that, come up with a clear strategy to take advantage of your Pokémon’s strengths. From there, you can choose the best cards that help you execute your strategy. Trainers will spend hours building their dream team with the best and strongest Pokemon they can find.
Loves tackling hard challenges in games, but his cats are still the hardest bosses he could ask for. The Modern Card Maker allows you to choose two different icons for sharing your info. These could be your Switch Friend Code, a social media account (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc), or any other link you’d like to share (a Linktree is also a choice). The very first Trainer Card Maker has been recently uploaded for Generation IX, offering full support for all current Pokemon with the Modern Style Cards. But if you’re an old-style card enjoyer, the Legacy Style Cards are also available with support up to the Gen VIII Pokemon.
Games always have those nice Profile menus that will be displayed when you fight against other players, which is a nice little feature. An entirely new style of card designed for more modern and bigger screens, social media, Discord, Twitch, etc. In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, the Braggart on Four Island hands out Stickers to Trainers who tell him about their achievements. The Stickers are applied to the back of the Trainer Card, in the top-left, and are colored red, blue, yellow, or gray (depending on the number of times that the player has made that particular achievement). Upon the player's first entry into Hoenn's Battle Frontier, their Trainer Card will be upgraded into a Frontier Pass by a woman at the entrance.
Share it with your friends and take a look at their team, it’s always nice to know which are each other’s favorite Pokemon. Do you have an amazing idea for a Pokémon card that you wish you could use in battle? Maybe you want to make a custom card with your cat or a friend who loves Pokémon. No matter what you want to do, making your own Pokémon card is so easy to do with just a few supplies. When you finish our article, you’ll have everything you need to know to create your card from scratch and print it out so it’s ready to use.
In HeartGold and SoulSilver, Badges are displayed at the upper screen of the Nintendo DS instead. Unlike Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, the player is able to sign his or her Trainer Card without having to go to a Pokémon Center. When the player obtains a Badge, the respective Gym Leader face is permanently replaced by the Badge, and their name (in Japanese games) disappears as well. To save Trainer Cards or import a saved friend code, login or register a Pokécharms account. At PokeCardMaker, we have a long history of custom creating trading cards.
You can get a lot of value out of cards like these to complement the strategy of almost any deck. For example, Mysterious Treasure expands on Ultra Ball, giving you a second way to find the Pokémon you need while discarding Fire Energy for later. Ultra Spacecan help you get your Ultra Beasts directly, or you can use Heat Factory Prism Star to discard Fire Energy and try to draw cards that can’t easily be searched out. Because this deck features Ultra Beasts, you can use Beast Ring to power up quickly when your opponent is down to 3 or 4 Prize cards. Other Trainer cards and support Pokémon can disrupt your opponent or boost the damage of your attacks.

So, you should be taking adequate steps to protect the privacy of those around you, such as your neighbors. TP-Link claims that you should get about 300 days or six months of use on a full charge. That’s only an estimate, as camera battery life greatly depends on where the camera is mounted.

Some add Bluetooth for local control and easier setup through your smartphone, while others incorporate separate home automation networking standards, such as Zigbee or Z-Wave, to interact with other devices. (The Matter smart home interoperability standard is still missing support for security cameras and video doorbells.) For most cameras, all you need to do is follow instructions from an app to connect them to your network. All security cameras have wide-angle lenses, but some are wider than others. Depending on the lens' field of view, these devices can cover between 105 and 360 degrees; that's a big range. If you want to watch a large area, look for a camera with the widest field of view and/or the ability to mechanically pan and tilt.

Users have their pick of smart features too, including two-way audio and smart alerts with detection zones. The motion detection, honed by Arlo’s years of experience, can identify objects like people or packages and activate the built-in spotlight during dark conditions. And with an operating temp range down to minus 4 degrees Fahrenheit, you won’t have to worry too much about weather, either. The only downside to this camera is it doesn’t have as many of the fancy features we liked about the Arlo Pro 4. It doesn’t have the outstanding compatibility with a wide range of smart home devices or motion zones. Still, we think the Reolink Argus 3 Pro is a solid choice for anyone who wants a solar camera.
Video
Without that subscription, you can’t save videos, use person recognition or enable those home/away modes we mentioned, so you may want to include it in the overall cost. While the Arlo Pro 5S may be at the top of a crowded field, we know it’s not for everyone -- particularly if you want to avoid paying for a monthly subscription. So we’ve included other top picks from Google Nest, Ring, Lorex, Eufy and more. Whether you want a cam with mobility, prefer staying away from online video cams or are looking for the best cheap security camera, our guide has you covered. Most security cameras connect to your home network using Wi-Fi, but some models use cables to connect to your internet router or a DVR for security cameras. We recommend using Wi-Fi security cameras since they are typically the easiest kind to install.
How to choose the best home security camera for you
However, after reviewing dozens of cameras over the past seven years, we have yet to find a perfect model. Some are hard to place, some need frequent charging, and others require a paid subscription to be most effective. Jaime Fraze has 16 years of writing and editing experience, with seven years spent writing about emerging technologies. As our home security camera expert, she has hand-tested and reviewed every major security camera brand and has written more than 300 articles on the topic. But, if the thought of the camera in your home watching your every move is too much to bear, the Arlo Essential Indoor Camera will be right up your street. The privacy shutter can automatically be activated when the camera is disarmed, ensuring that the lens and microphone are disabled so there’s no fear of being watched. This one stands out due to its WiZ-specific features, including SpaceSense, which lets its work well with other Wiz devices, making it an ideal pick if you already have those in your home.
Most of our feature-packed picks are over $100, and some are well over that mark. If that’s a dealbreaker for you and your wallet, this HD Tapo camera has a much lower offer. For under $30, TP-Link offers a remarkably complete indoor security camera with pan and tilt capabilities so it can capture an entire room via app controls. While making our selections, we kept an eye out for things that you care about, like price, usability, cool features, and practicality. We update these reviews regularly as new products hit the market so you get the freshest best picks possible. To date, SafeWise has evaluated over 150 different security camera models.
Simply put, yes, your security cameras can be hacked, but it depends how vulnerable your devices really are. In layman's terms this means as long as you stay current with app and device updates, you should have little to fear of being hacked via software or firmware vulnerabilities. You don't want anyone peeping on your property or hacking into your camera.

People who don’t have an outdoor outlet or who want maximum flexibility when installing an outdoor camera. This 2K-resolution model is fully wireless, so you can install it just about anywhere. If you have trouble getting a good signal outside, try boosting it with a wireless range extender.
Unlike the Blink Outdoor 4, though, the Wyze Cam v4 needs to be plugged into an outlet. To really make use of the camera's features, you'll have to shell out for the Nest Aware subscription, which starts at $6 per month. Even without a subscription, you'll get three hours of video storage, person detection and customizable activity zones, which is more than you can say about cameras from Ring and Arlo. High-quality video, free person detection, and three hours of video history without a subscription make this our favorite indoor security camera.
Some home security cameras have swappable batteries, while others need to be removed completely to be recharged. Not all models need to be plugged in when powering the best home security cameras. The Blink Outdoor is simple to use and records clear Full HD video during the day and at night.
It’s not quite there yet as its AI image analysis is not as accurate as it should be. However, not only does it do a good job of picking up movement and offering alerts, but it can actually track people and pets by panning and tilting automatically or through the app. You don’t have to worry about having the camera pointed in the wrong direction.
Most other security camera companies — Ring, Nest, Arlo, etc. — charge a subscription in order to use all of the camera's features, such as saving video and getting customized alerts. To find a detailed breakdown of what each company offers, check out our guide on security camera storage plans. The best home security cameras help you provide peace of mind by monitoring your home day and night, inside and out, and sending you an alert when they detect an intruder. Home security cameras have night vision and automatic motion-activated recording, and some even have built-in speakers, so you can talk with whoever you see, or sound an alarm. Like the Arlo Pro 4, the TP-Link Tapo records 2K video at 2560×1440 resolution.
You also want to think about what each home security camera offers in terms of video storage. Most will let you store videos in the cloud, but many require you to pay a subscription to do so. A few cameras have memory card slots, so you can save video locally; however, if someone steals the camera, you lose your recordings with it. Be sure to check out our comparison of which home security camera has the best storage plan. For around $100, you get a camera with a resolution of 4K that can pan, tilt, and swivel to cover a full 360 degrees of your room. Instead, it was an ocean liner, a type of ship designed for transporting people across the ocean from one point to another. Ocean liners usually have a stronger build and a deeper hull to handle rough sea conditions. They typically operate on fixed routes, like the transatlantic crossings between Europe and North America. Additionally, ocean liners are faster than cruise ships, with average speeds of about knots (29 mph/47 kph). Passengers on today’s cruise ships enjoy an extensive range of options, ensuring entertainment choices suit virtually every preference and age group.
Passenger capacity
I’ve taken a look at around 300 of the world’s most popular cruise ships to get to some average figures in terms of the modern ship size, so we can compare them against the Titanic. I’ll pick out a couple of key ships in the stats too, so you can see just how the Titanic ranks when put against modern ships. For the purpose of this guide with Titanic compared to modern ships, let’s focus more on the difference in size, since that really tells you the most about the ships of today and the space they offer passengers. In this article, we will compare the length, height and tonnage of the Titanic to a variety of modern cruise ships. Modern day cruise ship ships are built much larger than the Titanic; they are equipped with the latest propulsion technology. But the sheer size of today’s mega cruise ships means that extra horsepower doesn’t translate into faster speed.

On Icon of the Seas, you can enjoy full-scale shows across four distinct venues, and more live music and comedy than ever before. Fifty live musicians and comedians will entertain guests in venues across the ship. In terms of things to do on each ship, Titanic offered a heated pool, gym, squash court, and Turkish bath. Titanic was built at an estimated cost of $7.5 million in 1912, which in today's dollars would cost approximately $400 million.
The Titanic Had a Different to Modern Cruise Ships
Think of the VIP cabins and private pools and restaurants that are available to MSC Yacht Club passengers, for example; it’s just like their very own first class, just by a different name. At the time, it was 80,774 gross tons, just exceeding 1,000 feet in length. The draft is the distance between the waterline and the bottom of the ship's hull.
Second-class passengers slept on bunk beds, with two or four cabins per stateroom. Bunk beds are still standard on cruise ships, especially in family-sized staterooms. In short, Icon of the Seas and Titanic don't have a ton in common besides being ocean going vessels. Today's cruise ships are very different than ocean liners, like Titanic. The Titanic was one of the giant ocean liners of her era, and it had nine decks.

Modern passenger ships have an average passenger capacity of around 3,000 passengers and 1,200 crew members. However, the fare of Titanic in 1912 was £30, which is equivalent to $3200 to $3500 in present times. Where as, the modern cruises might cost you around $1000 to $1500 for a 7-night cruise.
Everyone knows the Titanic but not everyone knows the importance it had in the world of cruises. Icon of the Seas first opened up for reservations in October of last year while the cruise industry was still recovering from the downturn it faced during the coronavirus pandemic. At the time, prices started at $1,537 a person, but they have since increased by a few hundred dollars. The ship was located roughly 370 miles, or 600 kilometers, off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.
Passenger Capacity and Crew
Despite the increase in ship sizes, the difference in length between the Titanic and many modern cruise ships isn’t as large as it seems. For example, Royal Caribbean’s smallest ship, the Majesty of the Seas, is 879 ft. long (268 m), which is 3 ft. shorter than the Titanic. The average length of a cruise ship today is around 1,000 ft. (304 m).
Unlike the Titanic, the modern cruise features more than one dining hall. The giant Icon of the Seas has over 20 dining venues, 40 restaurants, and specialty bars. Seeing this baseline, I think Titanic seems like an innocent child of these ships. The modern cruises are the hub of facilities and entertainment, and they feel like a floating city. That’s why when I feel exhausted from my bustling life, I hop on these cruises to chill and relax for some time. The Titanic incident shook the cruise industry and promoted stringent cruise safety standards.
Welding creates a strong, seamless bond that is far more durable and long-lasting than rivets. This method involves melting the metal pieces together to form a single piece, which eliminates the weak spots that rivets can create at the joints. Additionally, welded seams are much better at withstanding extreme pressures and temperatures, greatly reducing the likelihood of structural failures similar to those experienced by the Titanic. Its interior resembled that of a grand hotel, featuring lavish decorations, fine dining areas, and an iconic grand staircase. This design was intended to attract wealthy passengers with the elegance and opulence typical of high-end Edwardian architecture.
Passengers were assigned seating for the length of the voyage and had to show up at specific times in order to eat. But no one had it as bad as those in third-class; though, compared to other trans-Atlantic liners at the time, the situation could have been worse. The Titanic’s third-class passengers numbered about a thousand individuals.
The best way to compare the two ships is in gross tonnage, as this tells you the overall volume of the ships. And with the Titanic’s 46,328 GT against Icon of the Seas’ 250,800, that’s where we can see just how stark the difference is. Here’s a list of just some of the cruise ships that are very similar to the Titanic. Of course, it’s worth remembering that the Titanic had a class system in place, and some of the areas of the ship would be out of bounds to third- and second-class passengers.
Third-class passengers were fed a basic diet, nothing fancy, but the food was free and there were leisure spaces for the guests to socialize. For those traveling in second class, the experience was more modest but still comfortable, with tickets costing $60, or about $1,834 today. The most economical option was third class, which catered primarily to immigrants and lower-income passengers. A ticket in third class cost just $35, or about $1,071 today, providing basic accommodations.
Icon of the Seas vs. Titanic: Public Amenities
For a more luxurious experience, suites on these cruises start at around $1,500 per person and can go much higher depending on size and amenities. On average, cruise ships today have a draft of about 20 ft. (6 m), which is less than the Titanic’s. Smaller cruise ships, such as the Empress of the Seas and the Viking Star, have even shallower drafts of about 23 ft. (7.1 m) and 21 ft. (6.3 m). This allows them to access a wider range of ports and coastal areas. However, the White Star Line chose to make both luxury and comfort key components of the Titanic. This helped differentiate Titanic from other ocean liners being built by Cunard Cruise Line, which was the White Star Line’s biggest competition at the time.

Changes in shipbuilding have allowed modern cruise ships to far surpass the height and tonnage of the Titanic. Although some small modern-day cruise ships are a similar size to the Titanic the majority of ships are much larger with some being 3x as large. By comparison, the ships offered by modern cruise lines are basically floating resorts. Modern cruise ships boast numerous entertainment facilities, including multiple swimming pools, a spa, rock-climbing walls, ice-skating rinks, zip lines, and surf simulators. Like the Titanic, today’s cruise ships model their cabins after high-end hotels.
Princess Cruises Teams Up to Offer Easy Transportation to Florida Ports
All these improvements have made sea travel considerably safer than it was during the time of the Titanic. Yes, a cruise ship could still potentially hit an iceberg today, especially if it navigates through icy waters near the poles or along routes like the North Atlantic, where icebergs are commonly found. It highlights that even though Carnival’s ships are generally smaller than Royal Caribbean’s, the disparity in gross tonnage with the Titanic is still remarkably large. Firstly, it’s important to clarify that gross tonnage does not reflect the weight of the ship. The new ship will soon be ready for use, starting in January 2024, the cruise company says, after hitting a milestone last month with the successful completion of its initial round of sea trials. During those trials, the ship was put on the open ocean for the first time.
After all, if the Titanic was a huge ship just about a hundred years ago, surely it is still at least a moderately large ship by today’s standards… right? Speaking of which, its Icon’s relaxed vacation amenities where the newest cruise ship most departs from the formal lifestyle of the outdated Titanic. If anything, we have the historic ocean liner disaster to thank for SOLAS (Safety Of Life at Sea) provisions since it actually prompted such modern standards. More to the point of safety equipment, Icon is far more well outfitted than Titanic was. Preventively, state-of-the-art radar (versus limited human lookouts) can pick up any potential intrusions, such as an iceberg, long before a cruise ship would ever encounter them and thus avoid them entirely. Comparatively, Icon is scheduled to frequent Caribbean destinations, like Royal Caribbean’s own CocoCay private island, roundtrip from Florida.
But in 1912, when commercial flights weren’t a thing (the first aircraft was only successfully trialed 9 years earlier), passenger ships were the default option for long-distance travel. The Titanic was built in one piece by riveting large plates together whereas modern cruise ships are built in smaller sections, then loaded into place using large cranes. The modular way that modern cruise ships are built allows them to be built higher faster than using traditional ship building methods. Although cruise ship food has historically had a bad reputation, modern cruise lines have greatly improved the dining experience. Nearly every cruise line has fine dining experiences and dozens of onboard restaurants.
The "unsinkable" Titanic compared to a cruise ship today (
The ship had a squash court, smoking room, lounge, Turkish bath, steam room, pool, and gymnasium. First-class passengers also had access to an indoor swimming pool and Turkish bath. The ship’s entertainment consisted of an eight-man orchestra for the upper classes and a piano in the first-class dining room. Perhaps the most striking difference between the Titanic and modern cruise, apart from the sheer difference in size, is the quality of cabins and the range of activities and entertainment. The ship also holds a three-storey 'townhouse', which is the largest cabin at sea. It sleeps eight and comes with a 35ft red slide running from top to bottom.
The 1-item upgrade you need for a better cruise ship cabin experience (it’s already in your house)
The sinking of the Titanic was a huge loss in maritime history that changed the many safety rules and precautions for other cruise ships. Regarding entertainment, modern cruises are like the epicenter of recreation. There is much more to enjoy, from waterparks and ice skating to nightlife clubs and casinos. Almost every cruise ship also offers a spa and wellness center to soothe your senses and unwind your mind. Modern ships also have a wider range of amenities and entertainment options.
Today, cruise ships have become a popular mode of transportation and entertainment for millions of people around the world. With advancements in technology and engineering, modern cruise ships have grown significantly in size, making the Titanic look like a mid-size ship in comparison. This article aims to compare the size of the Titanic to modern cruise ships, highlighting the differences in length, height, and capacity. But if there ever was a breach on Icon, double hull structures and enhanced watertight compartments could better defend against flooding. On the other hand, modern cruise ships adhere to strict international safety laws that require enough lifeboats for everyone on board.
It would be natural to assume that modern cruise ships would all be larger than the Titanic, since they’re all around a century newer. If you once again restrict the stats to only the top 150 cruise ships in the world, the average width is even larger at 128 feet. These smaller ships are sometimes aimed at offering a more luxurious experience to guests, ensuring a higher staff-to-guest ratio. Or they’re built to explore areas of the world few passengers have been able to, including the polar regions.
The average modern cruise ship is 20% longer than the Titanic and twice as tall. The Wonder of the Seas, for example, is over 1,000 feet long and more than twice as wide as the Titanic. It has 24 pools, 22 restaurants, 2 rock climbing walls, an ice-skating rink, and more. In contrast, cruise ships are designed for leisure rather than transportation, so all types of cabins on modern cruise ships are relatively comfortable.
Nearly every major cruise line has been building cruise ships that are bigger than anything built before. When Titanic was built, she was considered massive for that time in history. The ship was able to hold 3,353 passengers, including 900 crew members.
Despite the similar size, the construction was projected to cost more than the original Titanic, even if you put the Titanic’s historical cost in today’s money; the Titanic II was estimated to cost $500 million. A la Carte Restaurant was open to first-class passengers only and was one of the earliest examples of for-a-fee dining on a cruise ship (really!). An alternative to the main dining room, it was smaller and served the most fashionable of French decor. You can see from the chart above that building size has grown significantly faster than cruise ship size. Compare that to the Titanic's length of 883 feet vs the biggest cruise ship today length of 1,184 feet. Despite these tragic incidents, cruising remains a relatively safe form of travel, especially when compared to historical standards.
Finally, the third class comprised the largest group of passengers with an estimated capacity of 974. Third-class cabins were more congested, with passengers sharing space in bunk-style accommodations. Despite the simpler living conditions, travelers in this class still enjoyed a decent level of service.
At the top end, suites offer more space with separate living areas, luxurious amenities, and often enhanced services like priority boarding and concierge service. This number is quite low compared to the capacity of today’s cruise ships. For example, the Icon of the Seas has a passenger capacity of 7,600, while the Wonder of the Seas can accommodate 7,084 passengers. Even smaller modern ships like the Carnival Vista far surpass the Titanic with a maximum passenger capacity of 4,977. Despite its fame and the luxury it offered passengers, the Titanic wasn’t actually a cruise ship.
This shows that despite modern ships being larger, the average length hasn’t increased by much since the Titanic. For comparison, Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas has a gross tonnage of around 228,081—nearly five times larger than the Titanic. The world’s largest cruise ship, the Icon of the Seas, has a gross tonnage of 248,663.

The first half of spring is still well within the dry season, while temperatures are higher than they are in winter, yet much more pleasant than the sometimes-hot summer. First of all, the constantly warm weather in this region makes it a fantastic place to escape the cold, rainy and/or snowy winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Additionally, December through April is not only comfortably warm, but it’s also the driest time of the year. It is good to know, though, that the sea water is slightly cooler in winter, so snorkeling and scuba diving is a bit less comfy than it is in summer. That being said, abundant sunshine can still warm up you pretty quickly. When cruising from Florida, you have the extraordinary opportunity to have one of the world’s greatest sailing experiences.
